A little bit About Me
I’m Zoe, I am 22 and from a little village in the North West of England. I haven’t been to university and I don’t intend to any time soon. Growing up I had no idea what I want to do or what direction I wanted to take my ‘career’ and quite frankly I still don’t. However, what I do know is my passion is travelling and I have well and truly fallen in love.
I have never really felt like I fit in and for this reason, I have always been very shy, keeping myself to myself. Solo travelling has quite literally changed my life.
I never felt so seen and understood than how I felt with complete strangers 10,000 miles away from home. As cliche as is it, I have found myself.
Living my Dream
I have always had a passion for adventure and travel and even though covid very definitely delayed my plans, from October 2022 to March 2023 I completed my dream backpacking adventure around South East Asia.
I visited Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore.
Each country offers something different and added another culture to the experience.
It was so much more than I could have ever imagined, the travel bug is real and I very definitely caught it.

I am now back home in-between solo trips and I have set up this blog to share everything I have learnt with you so you can experience it too!

Before my Blog
Throughout my backpacking adventure, I learnt something new every day. I fell in love with every aspect of solo travel and started sharing photos and tips on my Instagram account @ travelwith.zo
Instagram gave me the perfect place to share my ridiculous amount of photos. (I have 140,000 on my phone, yes I need help). As well as build a community of like-minded people who all share the same passion for travel!

Solo Travel Reality
As much as this adventure is by far the best thing I have ever done, I will not hide the fact that solo travel is not always easy.
Solo travelling comes with its fair share of ups and downs. The more my community on Instagram grew, the more I realised how important it is to share both sides of this crazy adventure!
Social media can very easily make everything look perfect. We must all remember, no one’s life will ever be 100% perfect behind the screen!
I used my Instagram as a place to share both the ups and downs, the highs and the lows, the good and the bad to hopefully remind at least one other person that we are all in this together! I’m keen to do the same with my blog and share every aspect of my crazy journey.
